Agent of Hearts is a cluster slot, with wins formed by landing at least 5 matching symbols in vertically or horizontally adjacent positions on the grid. Speaking of the grid, this is 7x7 in size although 6 positions in the top middle portions have been removed to make space for the locked Queen’s heart. Heading back to the clusters, any symbols forming one will be removed from the grid. This leads to a cascade as new symbols drop to fill the empty spaces. If this brings about more winning clusters then the cascade process repeats until there are no more wins in view.

Agent Features
You’ll notice the meters on the left-hand side of the screen when playing Agent of Hearts. These fill up whenever you form wins with the corresponding character’s symbol. Win with 6 of the character’s symbols to activate their special feature! Here’s what these involve:
- Cupcake Splat - triggered by collecting 6 Dormouse symbols. The Dormouse runs across the grid, leaving a trail of cupcakes as it does. The cupcakes explode to either remove symbols or replace them with a random symbol.
- Smokin’ Phat - triggered by collecting 6 Caterpillar symbols. The Caterpillar blows smoke in a diagonal direction on the grid. The smoke then either removes or transforms the symbols underneath.
- Grinning Cat - triggered by collecting 6 Cheshire Cat symbols. The cat’s big grin appears on the grid, removing or transforming all symbols underneath.
- Mad Hat - triggered by collecting 6 Mad Hatter symbols. The Hatter throws 6-9 hats on random positions on the grid. The hats then spin, removing all symbols around and replacing those underneath with the same random symbol.
Agent Features are triggered once all the spin’s winning combinations and cascades are over. In addition, any random spin might see the White Rabbit appear on the screen. This will award you with a random Agent Feature!
Queen’s Heart
Landing 3 keys on the same spin unlocks the Queen’s Heart, which in turn awards you with a free spin. However this is no ordinary spin, as this has all 4 Agent Features mentioned above play out one after the other. In addition, when all of the features are over a Mega Wild that’s 3x2 in size will be added to the grid for potentially even more winnings. Once this spin is over you’ll be returned back to the regular spins.
Agent of Hearts Final Thoughts
You’ve got to give it to Play’n GO - they know how to make a good cluster slot and a great Wonderland game, meaning Agent of Hearts is a fantastic option if you want a bit of one and a bit of the other. It looks great, the win potential is solid, and the high volatility means you’ll be constantly anticipating some absolutely epic spins.
That said we do have two issues with this game, one minor and the other less so. The Agent Features are, perhaps, a bit samey, especially when one considers the wacky Wonderland characters they are based on. Second is the variable RTP. Do you really want to go look around at different online casinos to find the version with the best RTP? This wouldn’t have been such a great deal if the RTP didn’t vary that much, but there is quite a difference between 84.26% and 96.25%, at least in our opinion.
Still, Agent of Hearts is great fun, and we wouldn’t mind see Play’n GO return to both this theme and style of game. Just maybe stick to one RTP next time?
